Beautiful homes, meaningful impact.

We design refined, deeply personal architecture, interiors and brands where exceptional craft and conscious responsibility sit side by side.

Our promise

One home made beautiful, another made safe.

A part of every project contributes towards safer, better living spaces for people without adequate housing. Luxury, for us, is the privilege of helping transform more than one home.

Our story

A place to belong, for everyone

  • MaisonFrench for house or home
  • SœurFrench for sister
  • DécorThe art of making a space beautiful

A home is the first place we feel safe, and it should feel like family. A sister is the person who makes a place feel like home.

She notices the small things, she shares what she has, and she makes sure everyone has a place to belong.

Maison Sœur Décor was named for that spirit. We design refined, deeply personal interiors with fine craft, reused materials and thoughtful detail. With every home we make beautiful, we help make another one safe, because a part of each project goes towards better housing for people who need it.

For us, luxury is not about excess. It is about care for your home, for the craft behind it, and for the homes that are not yet safe.

Brand & retail design

Where your brand becomes a place

Brand design

We shape how a brand looks, feels and speaks, then carry it through into the physical world.

  • Logo and visual identity
  • Colour, type and material palette
  • Brand voice and story
  • Packaging, signage and print

Retail design

Spaces built around the customer journey, from the facade to the till, with a clear point of view.

  • Stores and boutiques
  • Restaurants and cafés
  • Showrooms and pop-ups
  • Fixtures, lighting and display
Brand storyIdentitySpaceExperience

Our work on Tanoor took a restaurant from brand identity to built interior, so the logo, the menu and the room all speak with one voice.

Semiotics in retail design

Every space is read before it is used

Semiotics is the study of signs and the meaning people take from them. A shopper decodes a store in seconds, long before reading a single word.

Colour

Mood and status

Deep burgundy and navy suggest heritage and depth. Soft pastels suggest ease and care. Colour sets expectations of price and personality.

Material

Truth and touch

Stone, timber, brass, linen and glass each signal quality in their own way. Honest, reused materials say craft and care.

Light

Focus and feeling

Warm, low light invites people to linger. Bright, even light says speed and clarity. Light tells people where to look.

Layout

Path and pace

Wide aisles and pauses suggest luxury and space. Dense displays suggest abundance. The route shapes the story.

Type & signage

Voice in letters

Thin, spaced serifs speak softly and with confidence. Heavy sans letters shout. The typeface is the brand’s tone of voice.

Threshold

The first signal

The facade, door and entry sequence tell people whether they belong before they step inside.

IconA sign that looks like what it means, such as a candle for warmth and welcome.
IndexA sign that points to something real, such as worn timber that suggests age and use.
SymbolA sign people learn by culture and habit, such as a deep red door for tradition and importance.

We read each brand as a system of signs, then design every one of them, from the sign above the door to the weight of the handle, so the whole space says the same thing and customers feel it as one clear message.

Brand positioning & return

Positioning that earns its return

01

Clear to choose

A sharply positioned brand tells customers in seconds who it is for, so the right people walk in and stay.

02

Worth paying for

Design that matches the promise supports premium pricing, because the space justifies the price.

03

Built once, built right

One consistent identity across store, signage and print avoids costly redesigns and mixed messages.

04

Lasting value

Durable materials, craft and smart reuse keep running costs down and the space looking its best for longer.

We agree how success is measured

  • Footfall
  • Time in store
  • Conversion
  • Average spend
  • Repeat visits
  • Brand recall

Before design begins, we set the goals that matter to your business and the numbers you will track, so the return on your design is something you can see, not just feel.

Architect & Interior Designer · M.Arch, CEPT

Simit leads interior, retail and institutional projects from first concept through construction, turning a brand’s story and a client’s needs into spaces that feel considered and lived in.

Master’s research at CEPT explored adaptive reuse, material experiments and branded environments, from a heritage market reimagined as a city museum to coir-cement interiors tuned for sound. Ideas are prototyped, modelled and visualised early, so clients can see and shape a design long before it is built.
